For some intellectually disabled adults, having care providers come directly to their home provides most enriching experience. These certified care providers are known as Direct Support Professionals (DSP). Traditional Care Service’s In-Home Care program carefully does the background research and matches individuals with intellectual disabilities to compassionate DSP’s who offer personalized support to these individuals in their homes or out in the community.

TCS hires and provides in-depth training to committed individuals who wish to become Direct Support Professionals. Potential DSP’s must already have a year of experience working with the population. Our experienced coordinators are there to assist our care providers throughout the process with free training, supervision, and case management of the individuals being served.

The process to becoming a Direct Service Professional is thorough and ensures that everyone involved is safe and suited for the relationship. TCS works with the individual, their family, care providers, and caseworkers to create a beneficial situation for all parties.
